Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

The short version: we collect only what you give us, we use it to respond to you and send what you asked for, we never sell personal information, and client engagement data is governed by contract, with a standing commitment that we do not remove member data from client environments. Privacy Policy

1.Introduction and scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Deployed Advisory LLC ("Deployed Advisory," "we," "us," or "our"), a New York limited liability company, collects, uses, protects, and discloses information when you visit deployedadvisory.com (the "Site") or communicate with us. It applies to the Site only. Services we perform for clients are governed by the applicable engagement agreement, whose confidentiality and data-handling terms are stricter than this policy and control in any conflict.

2.Information we collect

Information you provide. When you submit a form on the Site, request materials, or correspond with us, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, work email address, institution or company, and the content of your message. If you use the self-score tool and request your results, we collect your work email, your total score, and the per-domain breakdown. The tool itself runs in your browser; your individual answers are not transmitted to us. If you subscribe to Deployment Notes, we collect your work email and store it with our newsletter provider, which sends the digest on our behalf.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure maintains standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, referring pages, and the pages you visit. We use this information for site administration and security. We do not link server logs to your identity.

Scheduling. If you book a call, scheduling is provided by Calendly, which collects the information you enter there under its own privacy policy.

3.Cookies and analytics

The Site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use advertising networks. Embedded third-party features (such as the Calendly scheduling widget) may set their own cookies when you use them, governed by those providers' policies. If we adopt site analytics, we will use a privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics service and update this policy accordingly. Our pages load fonts and scheduling assets from third-party content delivery networks (Google Fonts, Calendly), which receive standard request data such as your IP address when a page loads. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through browser settings.

4.How we use information

To respond to your inquiries and schedule requested calls;
To deliver materials you request (for example, the examiner-question checklist and your self-score results);
To send occasional professional material we believe is relevant to you, from which you may opt out at any time;
To administer, secure, and improve the Site;
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

5.How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes. We disclose personal information only:

To service providers that process it on our behalf to operate the Site and our business: form delivery (Formspree), scheduling (Calendly), newsletter delivery (Buttondown), email and productivity (Google Workspace), and website hosting (Cloudflare). Each processes information under its own security and privacy commitments;
In a business transfer, if Deployed Advisory or substantially all of its assets are acquired or reorganized, in which case personal information may transfer subject to this policy;
For legal reasons, where disclosure is required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.

6.Email communications and your choices

Commercial email from us includes a functioning opt-out mechanism, and we honor opt-out requests promptly. Transactional messages (responding to your inquiry, delivering something you requested) are not affected by a marketing opt-out.

7.Access, correction, and deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing contact@deployedadvisory.com. We will respond promptly and honor reasonable requests unless retention is required by law, contract, or legitimate business records purposes. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws; we honor reasonable exercise of such rights regardless of residence.

8.Data retention

We retain correspondence and contact information as ordinary business records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

9.Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards appropriate to a firm of our size and the sensitivity of the information we hold, including multi-factor authentication on our accounts, managed credentials, full-disk encryption on firm devices, and transport encryption (HTTPS) on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a security incident affecting your private information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law, including the New York SHIELD Act.

10.Client engagement data and member data

Materials we handle in client engagements are governed by the engagement contract, not this policy. Our standing commitment: we work within client systems, we do not remove member-level data from the client's environment, and deliverables never contain member-level records. If member-level data reaches us in error, we delete it and notify the client promptly. We do not enter client-identifiable or member data into public AI tools. Our internal AI-use policy is available to clients and prospective clients on request.

11.Children's privacy

The Site is intended for institutions and business professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12.Third-party websites

The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.

13.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the current version. Material changes will be noted prominently on this page.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2.Informational purposes only; no professional advice; no client relationship

Content on the Site, including articles, tools, the self-score instrument, and the examiner-question checklist, is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, accounting, regulatory, compliance, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from qualified professionals who know your institution's facts. Use of the Site does not create a client, advisory, or fiduciary relationship with Deployed Advisory; engagements are formed only by a signed written agreement. Self-score results are directional self-assessments based solely on your answers and are not an audit, examination, certification, or rating.

3.Intellectual property

The Site and its content, including text, design, graphics, documents, the Deployed Advisory name and marks, and the Deployment Index name and methodology descriptions, are the property of Deployed Advisory LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and print content for your internal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not republish, redistribute, frame, scrape, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written consent.

4.Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site in any way that violates applicable law, interferes with the Site's operation, misrepresents your identity or affiliation, or attempts to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data.

5.Third-party services and links

Features provided by third parties (including form delivery and scheduling) and links to third-party websites are governed by those parties' own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

6.Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

7.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Deployed Advisory LLC and its members, officers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or its content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of use of the Site shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).

8.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Deployed Advisory LLC from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

9.Governing law and venue

These Terms and any dispute arising out of use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Exclusive venue lies in the state and federal courts located in Suffolk County, New York.

10.Changes; entire agreement

We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version on this page; continued use of the Site after posting constitutes acceptance. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy above, are the entire agreement between you and Deployed Advisory LLC regarding use of the Site. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
